About Our School

Pembroke School Of Performing Arts was established in February of 1988 with the desire to provide proper dance and theatre education, acknowledging that all children (young and old) should have the opportunity to explore the world of performing arts in a positive, safe, and friendly environment. Therefore, we strive to recognize both the recreational and aspiring professional  artist and create the learning opportunity for positive growth toward individual goals.

Mission Statement

Pembroke School of Performing Arts promotes the art of dance through programs that provide students the opportunity to explore, discover and create dance at a level appropriate for their age, skill and desire.

Movement is a common thread, which binds all individuals regardless of race, color, wealth or age. Dance expresses, communicates, and explores emotions, moods and ideas to others. It often transcends verbal language and can cross cultural lines. It can be a means of cultural pride, an artistic statement or simply an expression of celebration. It is that which inspires the soul to move. PSPA welcomes students into their dance family and encourages and nurtures students to experience the many styles of dance and related arts.

PSPA goals include the development of kinesthetic intelligence, to create the opportunity for self-expression, to teach the value and the skills of creative problem solving and risk taking promoting positive self-esteem and confidence. PSPA provides students the opportunity to learn, perform, and analyze proper dance technique. PSPA encourages our students to establish positive health practices and healthy life choices.
